Still-undefeated Wisconsin is behind those teams at No. 6. The Badgers’ lack of schedule strength is clearly affecting their standing. Upset losses in the Big Ten ended College Football Playoff contention for Ohio State and Penn State on Saturday....

The madness continued with Wisconsin knocking off No. 5 LSU at Lambeau Field and No. 18 Georgia playing close to home in Atlanta against No. 22 North Carolina. The proverbial ante will be significantly upped this week, when the sport’s heavy-hitters make their debut as the college football season clicks into gear. Seven of the programs ranked in the AP Top 25 poll are in action on Saturday including Clemson, last season’s runner-up in the College Football Playoff (CFP) national championship game and Oklahoma who, like Clemson, lost to eventual national champions LSU, falling in the CFP semifinals....

The Horned Frogs jumped three spots between the first and second set of CFP rankings, moving up to No. 4 for Week 11. But TCU, the last remaining undefeated team in the Big 12 and only one of four such teams in the country, likely has to win out to make the Playoff. Enter No. 18 Texas, a team looking to prove its in-state dominance at the expense of TCU and the Big 12’s CFP hopes....

Which 40-point offense deserves the last playoff spot? No. 5 Tennessee is the answer, at least for now. The Vols are back in the CFP in Sporting News Week 12 bowl projection. DarkSide Ransomware-as-a-Service Ceases Operations The DarkSide ransomware attack on the Colonial Pipeline has caused massive disruption across the US. The pipeline carries refined oil products some 5,500 miles across the country, carrying around 3 million barrels of oil between Texas and New York per day and accounting for around 45 percent of the East Coast’s fuel supply. The ransomware attack knocked the critical pipeline offline, sparking frantic scenes as citizens rushed to fill all manner of containers with fuel in anticipation of shortages, forcing gas prices as high as $3 per gallon, the highest seen since 2014....

The family of Aguilera-Mederos and supporters asked for Governor Jared Polis to “take immediate action” and either reduce the length of his sentence or grant him clemency. Polis said he had received the clemency application and is reviewing it. “This fight is not just for him but for all,” said Aguilera-Mederos’ defense lawyer Leonard Martinez during a rally at the state capital. Aguilera-Mederos, 26, testified he was hauling lumber in his semitrailer on April 25, 2019, when his breaks failed heading down a steep decline....

Donna Walter and Mark Milliman claim that neither Governor Jared Polis, nor the state’s health departments, had the authority to order people to wear the masks and claim that the order is unconstitutional. Earlier in the month, Polis announced that those aged 10 or older in public indoor spaces would have to wear the coverings to turn around the progress of the pandemic in the state. “We’re really on the knife’s edge,” he said....

With this in mind, Sunday’s matchup at Cleveland (1 p.m. ET, Fox) will be a good test for Indianapolis.
