The Indianapolis Colts kicker’s record-breaking 566th field goal came on a 42-yard effort against the Houston Texans on Sunday.
Vinatieri entered Sunday’s game tied with Hall of Famer Morten Andersen and he needs just 34 more points to surpass Andersen’s 2,544 for the most points scored in NFL history.
The 45-year-old Vinatieri also holds the NFL record with 44 straight field goals made.
