The Colts linebacker was suspended four games by the NFL Tuesday for violating the league’s policy on performance enhancing substances.

Jackson left Monday night’s 41-10 win over the New York Jets early because of a concussion.

A second-round pick of the Cleveland Browns in 2006, Jackson joined the Colts in 2014 and was selected to his first Pro Bowl after recording 138 tackles and four sacks.

He had 150 tackles to lead the Colts last year and leads the team again this year with 78 tackles. He has not missed a game since 2010 when a shoulder injury cost him his season.

Jackson would be eligible to return for the playoffs if the Colts (6-6) should win the AFC South. They are currently tied with the Titans and Texans for the division lead.
